Making A Purchase
Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our Catalogue, and click on any items that you wish to buy and put them into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on "Order" and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to satisfy the order.
We accept credit card payment. If you are shopping from North America or anywhere else outside of the UK, place your order and your credit card company will convert the transaction to US Dollars or your own currency.
We accept all major credit cards. You may send your credit card information via phone or fax/post (using our
printable order form
) or over the Internet.
Prices exclude carriage which is added on the checkout page.
What Currency Do We Accept?
Our prices are displayed in GB Pounds (£). Payments by cheque or money order must be in GB Pounds. For payments by credit or debit card, when the Worldpay secure screen is displayed you can select the currency in which you wish to be billed. Most major currencies are allowed. Shipping And Handling
Our standard carriage charge for UK deliveries is £3.60. For orders within Europe outside of the UK, the charge is £6.00, and for the rest of the world, the charge is £9.00. All goods despatched are insured to protect both yourselves and us.
We despatch all goods within 3-7 working days of receiving the order and cleared payment. We will email you on the day your order is despatched. Please allow approximately 10-14 working days for delivery of any items not available from stock.
For some of the items in our Luxury Plus Size and Hollywood Lingerie sections for men and women, please allow approx. 15-20 working days for delivery, as these items are made to order and are sent direct to us from the USA. This applies mainly to the Shirley Of Hollywood Collection within these sections.
All items are sent via Royal Mail 1st class Recorded Delivery for the UK, or Special Delivery dependent on value. For Europe and outside Europe, items are sent via Royal Mail International Signed For Delivery or Airsure. Goods are sent in discreet plain wrapping. We insure all items despatched so in the unlikely event of anything going missing, you will receive a full refund or replacement order. If an attempt to deliver goods is made and there is no one to accept delivery, a card will be left by Royal Mail for collection of goods. If goods are returned to us from Royal Mail due to the item not been collected, a further delivery charge will be made for re-despatch.
Goods exceeding 2kg in weight will incurr an additional delivery charge of £10 for the UK and £55 to anywhere outside the U.K. We only use International Datapost which is a guaranteed delivery service to countries outside the U.K.
If you have ordered multiple items and one or more is out of stock, the in stock items will be despatched first and the remaining items will be backordered and despatched within 10-14 working days from the date of order. We do not charge additional postage and packing in this event. We will indicate on your shipping documents and via email if this is the case, giving you an estimated delivery date for the outstanding items.
If your order is likely to exceed our stated delivery times, we will notify you by email, giving you the option to wait or cancel your order for a full refund.
For orders made from the UK or the European Union, 17.5% VAT is added but included in prices shown. European Union customers, outside the UK, can claim exemption from VAT by quoting a valid EU VAT number. All other orders are VAT free and you should click the exempt button to reduce VAT to zero .
Duty & Customs In Your Country
We cannot estimate customs and import duties in your country. If import duty is to be paid before your customs authorities release the goods to you, it is your responsibility to pay these duties and taxes. Lovers Emporium cannot be held responsible for customs charges and any delays due to payment not being made in your country.
Credit Card Security
We accept all major credit cards. All credit card payments are processed via Worldpay, an authorised card clearing house part owned by National Westminster/Royal Bank of Scotland group. When you select payment by Worldpay you enter your card details via secure pages. (a padlocked symbol in the bottom of the screen shows it is a secure page). The payments are processed via a secure server and your card details are fully encrypted, which means your credit/debit numbers are not displayed. We endeavour to respond to all complaints within five working days.
We are committed to protecting your privacy. We will only use the information that we collect about you lawfully. All information is collected through the ordering/registration process (in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998). We collect information about you for 2 reasons: firstly to process your order and second, to provide you with the best possible service. We will not email you in the future unless you have given us your consent. We will give you the chance to refuse any marketing email from us or another trader in the future.
The type of information we will collect about you includes:

We will never collect sensitive information about you without your explicit consent. The information we hold will be accurate and up to date. You can check the information that we hold about you by emailing us. If you find any inaccuracies we will delete or correct them promptly.
The personal information which we hold will be held securely in accordance with our internal security policy and the law. If we intend to transfer your information outside the EEA (European Economic Area) we will always obtain your consent first. We may use technology to track the patterns of behaviour of visitors to our site. This can include using a "cookie" which would be stored on your PC. You can usually modify your browser to prevent this happening. The information collected in this way can be used to identify you unless you modify your browser settings.

Your satisfaction is our aim. That is why you have the right to cancel and return your order within 7 working days of receipt of goods. The 7 working days start from the day after you receive the goods. On receipt of your returned item/s, we will gladly refund or exchange the item. Items that are 'specially made to order' (this applies to non-standard sizing and individual customer's specification) are non returnable.
Returns are the responsibility of the customer, so we recommend all goods are returned via traceable means (eg. Recorded Delivery). If an item is not returned via Recorded Delivery or any other traceable means we will not be held responsible for items that get lost in the post.
Return postage charges will be at the customers own expense, unless an item has to be returned due to it being faulty.
For reasons of hygiene, lingerie and personal clothing items that have been worn cannot be returned. Personal items such as vibrators and creams cannot be returned if the sealed packaging has been broken or the item/s has been used, unless the product/s is/are faulty.
If we suspect that the goods have been used or any of the above conditions are not met then we reserve the right to refuse the return. If items have to be returned this will be at the customers expense.
In the case of lingerie, it is important that you order the correct size at time of ordering, by checking our 'size chart'.
YOUR STATUTORY RIGHTS ARE NOT AFFECTED
Returned goods must not be soiled or damaged in any way, they must be returned in their original packing.
